Second CONTAINER sent

   to Kailahun,carrying VEHICLE

.........and books for the Kailahun library along with other equipment for the KIK House and for use by teams during visits.

After lots of hard work packing boxes full of books and other needed items we eventually on 19th October 2012 saw the container full and ready to go.

After almost 6 years KIK has finally been able to ship over our very own four wheel drive vehicle for use during our visits.  This would not have been possible without the help and donations from generous people here in Lancashire.

Over the past 6 years there have been some quite hair raising moments in respect of transport, I dont think there has been one trip where there has not been an issue with vehicles breaking down.  We have sat for hours in burning heat waiting for mechanics to fix faults, we have abandoned vehicles and hailed taxis but saying all that we have always been protected and kept safe.

The roads in Sierra Leone are not the best roads in the world and it is critical that we have a reliable source of transportation for the duration of our stays there, and now we do.

So THANK YOU once again to all those people who have made this possible.
